If ever poetry could meet photograph, music, holding hands with art, then Hsien-ku’s work accomplishes that. Her darkest images hold deep reverence for life and light; her pairing of whimsy and the seriousness of our beings, can break your heart or lift you up high. There are beautiful notes in her work; ageless themes we can either embrace or reject- but whatever your view of the world or the things around us, Hsien-ku will fling open a window and door to your heart.
